Chris Plunkett

Teacher

Chris Plunkett brings a lifetime of professional playing experience and is a genuinely gentle soul who lives to play and to impart his life experience as a musician to his students.

Chris is a Bassist, composer, and former Musicians Institute B.I.T. instructor. Bass player for Hank Williams Jr. in the mid to late 1970’s: Played on the “The New South” album recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and toured the country with Hank Jr., as a member of the “Bama Band”. Extensive studio experience in studios from New York to Los Angeles, performing with a wide variety of artists including Hank Williams, Jr., Waylon Jennings, Norman Brown, Scott Henderson, Frank Vignola, Glenn Alexander, Gregg Bisonette, Joe Ascione, Eddie Rosetti, Raphael Cruz, Chuggy Carter and many others. Co-founder of the New Jersey based R&B band “Line Drive”, and owner of South Street Studios, a private music lesson studio in Freehold New Jersey.

Dan Koncelik

Teacher

Dan Koncelik has traveled the world to further his musical knowledge. Dan brings a unique, world view to his instruction in the areas of world percussion, drums, beginning guitar, and ukulele. One of Dan’s passions is Latin rhythms and strings musical instruments from South America.

Dan proudly combines his deep love of music, rhythm and the learning process in his private lessons. He has studied guitar with Jonathan Geist at the former NY Institute of Guitar and drums/percussion with Jerry Leake in Boston, MA and with Zohar Fresco at the Labyrinth Music Workshop in Crete, Greece. Dan’s specialty is in teaching beginners, establishing healthy habits and eureka moments. Currently, lessons are available for guitar, ukulele and drums.
